What we do

Dac Labs is a Sydney-based Direct Air Capture (DAC) manufacturing company dedicated to designing and developing the world's most advanced DAC machines.

Our machines use an advanced electrochemical DAC process to capture carbon dioxide more efficiently, reducing costs per tonne and consuming less energy than our competitors. Plus, our sorbents last longer, further enhancing performance and sustainability.

Sam Wenger, CEO

Sam recently submitted his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Sydney, which focused on developing low-cost Direct Air Capture systems. He holds a BS in Operations Research Engineering from Cornell University and a MS in Energy & Sustainability from Northwestern University. He is Founder and CEO.

Lyndon Hall, Head of Chemistry

Lyndon recently submitted his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Sydney and holds a BS (Honours) in Chemistry from the University of Sydney.

Joel Sing, Chemical Engineer

Joel holds a BS (Honours) in Chemical Engineering & Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Sydney.

Prof. Deanna D’Alessandro, Scientific Advisor

Prof. D’Alessandro is a Professor in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Sydney. She holds a PhD and BSc in Chemistry from James Cook University. She is Australia’s leading DAC expert. She is also Director of the University of Sydney’s Net Zero Institute.
